Overview

“All I want is a puppy for my baby boy. That’s all. Just a good puppy for my boy. The better you behave, the happier you’ll be.”

When Cammy’s Daddy asked him if he wanted a puppy, he expected the fluffy, four-legged kind. Instead, he finds that his Daddy meant something else entirely... and he isn't sure what to think of the new addition to the household.

Zay’s life might not have been perfect, but it was still better than being kidnapped and sold into slavery. When his new Master tells him he’s going to be Cammy’s puppy, he has to decide just what he’s going to do…

This story is very unsettling but really fascinating if you can maintain the knowledge that it is (hopefully entirely) fictitious. Otherwise, to properly warn you would be to drop spoilers and I cannotttt! I like a well told story and this is incredibly well written and thought out - frightening too. The narration is good enough to definitely make this as uncomfortable as possible, haha. Still, I'm captivated by the utter madness of this story and I never want to meet the author or anyone who could even imagine something so compellingly disturbing, even if impressively insane. I recommend going in blind (like I did) just for fun (yes, I'm still reevaluating what fun I thought would come from a book with a title and cover like this) but if you truly need a warning, don't bother.. buuuut still do it. It kind of feels like I'm being held against my will to find out what happens next! It's like a campfire story that might keep you from sleeping and if you're a deep thinker, you'll like the vortex of questions, wonder and the levels of appalled this can take you to. Definitely jaw dropping and not in the good way. I still rated it 5 so I don't know how to explain the magnitude of how perplexed and baffled I am but you just have to experience it for yourself to get why you reeeeally want to read/listen to book 2, even though you'll probably regret doing so and probably regret if you don't. Good luck.
